Daria Michel writes cozy fiction from her home in Illinois, where she's surrounded by her teenager (who provides endless eye-rolling inspiration) and two senior cats who serve as her muses—mostly through naps and judgment. When she's not crafting the latest adventure in her Magic and Mom Jeans series, you'll find her with her nose in a book, tangled in yarn while crocheting, or convincing herself that exercise counts as travel if you walk far enough. By day, she works with people with disabilities, which has taught her that the best magic in life is often the everyday kind. She believes that comfort, laughter, and a good pair of stretchy jeans can get you through just about anything.

About The Series
Selene Hawthorne thought her biggest problem was being broke, unemployed, and mourning her grandmother. Then she inherited a potion shop in a town full of vampires, werewolves, and witches with opinions. Oh, and she accidentally turned a teenage werewolf runaway into a baby. Because apparently, "a little dab'll do ya" doesn't apply to magical potions.
Now Selene's juggling diaper changes, murder investigations, and a potion shop she has no idea how to run, all while trying to figure out to be a good witch and not just dangerously incompetent. Her best friend is a fae with questionable taste in men. And the town's hottest healer keeps showing up right when she looks her absolute worst.
Between solving murders, preventing magical disasters, and trying to keep her accidental son alive, Selene's learning that being a witch isn't all broomsticks and bubbling cauldrons. Sometimes it's mom jeans, cold coffee, and wondering if "I accidentally turned him into a baby" is a valid legal defense.
